Mark Rossi

Mark is the inventor of the band and most of the Tribal songs are written by him. There isn't a week that goes by that Mark hasn't come up with a new tune that sounds as if his Les Paul actually wrote the licks. He has many Gibsons and as a true guitarist he treats them all like a lady.

His distinctive love for emotional melodies and his soft spot for polyphone guitar licks are, often to the annoyance of the other band members, clearly recognizable in almost every Tribal song and is the trademark of the Tribal style.

Thanks to the music Mark found an "alternative and creative style" for himself: Notes are the ingredient, songs are the menus. Quote: “The first ideas are always the most exciting, because they embody music in their purest form. We try to transform the tension of the moment into music. Music rises from an emotion and without emotions there would be no feelings!” After listening to the arrangements, it should be no surprise that each Tribal song whether hard driving or played tenderly, is very emotional for the listener.

Mark is the driving force but loves working with the other players. He collaborates with Greg on many of the arrangements and many times an almost philosophic discussion comes up, spiked with a good portion of Rock n Roll.

Quote: "The guitar is the medium, in order to give to my melodies a language. I wish that this language is understandable for everyone, sounds beautiful and simply put, loved by the audience!"
